If you're looking for a lightweight option to tour with your favorite skis, consider the Salomon QST Echo 106 Skis. These skis are a result of the evolution of the renowned QST line, combining the versatile shape of the QST 106 with a core made of karuba and poplar. They also feature superlight basalt fibers and cork damplifier material in the tip and tail, making them exceptionally lightweight while still offering impressive performance in backcountry skiing. Inspired by Cody Townsend's alpine adventures, the QST Echo excels in all conditions, even challenging ones.

Product Details: Rocker Type The QST Echo 106 Skis boast a Freeride Rocker Profile, with 25% Tip Rocker, camber, and 17% Tail Rocker.

Core: These skis feature a karuba and poplar full woodcore, extending from tip to tail, providing optimal stability on snow and a powerful rebound. The woodcore design maximizes the contact between the skis and the snow, while also effectively filtering out vibrations. Karuba, being one of the lightest woods used in ski construction, contributes to the skis' overall lightweight nature.

Laminates: The QST Echo 106 Skis incorporate basalt superlight fibers, which offer additional strength and performance benefits while keeping the skis lightweight.

To further enhance vibration absorption and dampening while minimizing weight, the skis utilize cork damplifier technology. Cork possesses remarkable absorbent properties, being 16 times more absorptive than Koroyd. By incorporating cork in the tip and/or tail, the skis achieve a high level of vibration absorption and dampening.

Sidewalls: Employing Double Sidewalls Technology, the QST Echo 106 Skis feature a high-density injected piece of ABS underfoot, combined with full-length sidewalls. This construction creates a robust platform underfoot, maximizing grip on hard snow conditions. Additionally, the sidewalls are made of 100% recycled materials, further contributing to sustainability efforts.

Graphics: The topsheet materials used in the skis' graphics are composed of 30% recycled materials.

Binding Compatibility: It is recommended to use a brake width that is equal to or no more than 15 mm wider than the ski waist width.
